I guess I'm just a bit jealous that you don't live near by. First lure was your desire to help your neighbour see that the truth is not the truth, second was your coffee, and now it's that I find you to be such a consistent person in what you believe is good in all, especially the little children.
You are also gem to realize that not everybody's clock runs at the same speed. Loving the human clock for its uniqueness is far better than always trying to make it run as fast or slow like all the rest.
I know you have read shotguns posts about his and my childhood and I've often wondered what it would have been like to be raised in a loving home... right now your home comes to mind as being just that.

im so nervous...10 of us are exhibiting at a prestigious gallery in the south.was ok but am bricking it now.its in a beautiful georgian house gallery that dickens and thackery regularily visited when it was a house...(you can vote for it on restoration programme bbc2 july 25- or it could close...arts funding crisis looming..remember....art feeds the soul and soothes the mind and is sometimes the most easily accessable social concince/voice.....).
.hope everyone turns up.should have 150-200 people ..invitations have gone out..copious amounts of wine ordered..food bought..have got waitresses sorted out and just got to hope we're well received or we'll all be in the corners drinking and bereft of all our confidence.......i've invited all my local friends most of whom are school teachers or just lovely , so they might justcounteract a friend's over critical father and another's partner who's able to flatten your confidenceat 50 paces....can you tell ive hit the winealready?
lol im throwing them all a party to celebrate the end of this course and the start of the degree next sat so if its a disaster we'll jsut drown our sorrows there...and if we sell any we're all going on holiday together... i'll post if it was a total disaster...and *newsflash* reboot's gonna wear a skirt.....

Actually FMZ I think you should build a tree house.
Even if you don't have the proper trees you can build it way up off the ground by installing your own (big poles) or whatever.
We have one, under the guise that it's for the kids, but really (and don't tell anybody this) It's for US! My hubby and I. It's great and even has a front porch with railings. We sneak out there to be alone and drink tea and get away. Mu- ha-ha-ha. It's huge by tree fort standards. Just shy the legal limit that we didn't need a building permit.
Another plus is that it doesn't flood.

I hit rock bottom when I was disfellowshipped and even before I was disfellowshipped I was torn because I knew this religion was a bust for me.., Within short I accessed by anger and was so spiteful I never went back. I was bitter because of all the hypocrisy and favourtism with the elder arrangement. How they handle the flock and how they handle members of their own family can really be hypocritical.
Anger and being spiteful is not good for you .. but in my case, it was a godsend. It gave me the distance I needed to really have a look at this Stupid, stupid religion.

In the congregation I used to be in 12 years ago or so . A big custody battle took place between a husband and wife. The wife was not a J.W. and the man was just studying at the time. Anyways, the religion became an issue and she did not want her kids taken into the J.W. religion. the WTSociety was called in to fight the Man's side of things.
I thought it was really weird at how much things the WTS stacked on their side of things. They sent a so called brother down from bethel and he worked with this congregation for weeks before the trial.
They did a selection of who would sit in the audience, what they would wear,.. which ones should take notes during the trial and how that would look to the judge. Husbands and wives sit together to give the impression of family units..etc, etc., Who would sit in the front rows.. details, details, They practiced and practiced...and this was just for the ones who sat in the courtroom.
They are crafty and they are out to win at all costs.
The WTS did win the case in the sense that the wife could not prevent the husband from having his kids because of his crazy religion.
However, the downfall to it all was that the man left the J.W. religion within a couple of years and wouldn't have really anything to do with them again and I do believe he and his wife and kids reunited.
The WTS will always try to manipulate things in their favour, even a courtroom.
